Made in Mali, these extra large bone beads are first cut and
cored then a traditional mudcloth pattern is drawn on them with
wax. Next, they are left to soak in a vat of mud and grasses
until the unwaxed parts of the bone soak up the color
completely. The wax is removed and the beads are cleaned,
polished and strung on natural sisal fiber. Each
strand is approximately 40 beads and 30 inches long. Also
comes in a tea dyed color. |
